Plan of Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God and requires no work. It is a personal decision to place your faith on Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection alone for the atonement (payment) for your sins and the promise of everlasting life. Jesus could have claimed His own glory, but because of His love for us he sacrificed himself without blemish to pay the penalty and receive the judgment we all deserve for our sins. You can NOT WORK your way into Heaven, let Jesus clothe you in His righteousness and guarantee you eternal life.

We are all sinners with the need to be delivered from the penalty of our sins:

• "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10

• "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

• "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so
death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Romans 5:12

• "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation:

• "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Repent—have a change of attitude about sin:

• "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke 5:32

• "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the
sorrow of the world worketh death." 2 Corinthians 7:10

• "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men
every where to repent." Acts 17:30

How to Receive Jesus Christ as Savior:

• "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation." Romans 10:9, 10

• "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

• "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that
sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed
from death unto life." John 5:24

• "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12

Now is the time—today is the day!

• "Behold, now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation."
2 Corinthians 6:2
