Many of you may remember the stories as a child (Noah and the Ark, Daniel and the den of lions, etc.) and the lessons they taught. You may also remember some of Jesus' teachings like instead of an eye for an eye, "turning the other cheek." These are all popular mainstream teachings from the Bible, but do you know any of the "less popular" teachings within the Bible?

Even though mainstream churches avoid most of these topics, either because they are controversial or go against todays social norms, the Bible teaches us about the creation of Earth and the human domain, fallen angels, the spiritual domains, the flood, early kingdoms, Jesus Christ, alcohol, fornication, marriage, divorce, LGBT sin, reprobates, God's covenants AND the FUTURE of HUMANITY!

It truly is a DIVINE message of LOVE, but sadly, preachers are PREACHING out of context and not TEACHING the ENTIRE TRUTH!

There is no easy way to say this, but to put it simply; WE ARE BACKSLIDEN.

Most Christians will not admit this (or even understand why they could be backsliden), but Lucifer has infiltrated parts of the church, through distorted doctrine and lies, and has tainted its true meaning, message and purpose as defined in the Bible.

Many churches have just become social clubs or have services that are more for entertainment purposes (to raise funds) than for the edifying of the saints. Furthermore, the majority of churches are NOT soul winning, and this goes directly against the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As a result, society has a completely twisted understanding of who God is, what God is doing, and what the Bible teaches as doctrines and examples for our lives.

It has always been Lucifer's strategy to deceive, and in fact, it all began with the original lie and the "bite of the apple" and his lies have progressed throughout time. They would eventually lead to extreme corruption through the mixing of paganism and Christianity within the Roman empire in what would become known as the Roman Catholic Church, the largest apostate (fallen away) church to this day.

As the times have progressed, the corruption has more than taken root, it has blossomed and false prophets such as the Pope, Joel Osteen, John Hagee, Rick Warren, etc. walk around preaching and teaching twisted false doctrines with the praise of men with itching ears who claim to be Christians (believers in Jesus Christ) but do not fully place their faith in Jesus to be clothed in His righteousness, but instead, rely on their own works, obedience, and repenting.

Ephesians 2:8-9, "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."

God warned us of this deception and falling away and how it plays a KEY ROLE in end times prophecy:

2 Thessalonians 2:3, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [Day of the Lord] shall not come, except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

Christian scholars title the "falling away" the "Great Apostasy" and define it as a mass spiritual falling away from God. We see this happening today with "mainstream Christians" keeping unholy pagan traditions (Halloween, Graven Images, Idols, Music, Hypocrisy etc.), being preached to out of context, and not studying the word of God (listening to what Jesus has to say).

Believing on and confessing the name of Jesus alone will save you, and that salvation is a free eternal gift that can never be lost, but continuing after worldly things will lead to, out of love; discipline, chastisement, and tribulation from the Father, not universal blessings.

The Bible clearly teaches that BELIEVING ON (accepting Jesus Christ as God and savior) leads to SALVATION and it can never be lost. Developing and maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus while spreading the good news of Jesus is every Christian's calling and the will of God, but it is not necessary to be saved.

Talking about the day of Judgment, Jesus said in Mathew 7:21-23, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Who are the people calling upon Jesus, "Lord, Lord?" Who are the people Jesus answers, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." I believe it is comprised of those who claim to be Jews and are not and the fallen away (apostate) "mainstream" churches we see today (Roman Catholic/Orthodox, Prosperity gospel, Repentance gospel, etc.) that are PREACHING out of context and not TEACHING God's ENTIRE, COMPLETE Word. These teachings lead to a belief that there is some sort of requirement of man (works, new man, obedience to laws, etc.) to be saved other than believing on and confessing the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most churches today avoid TEACHING important details about SALVATION and cling to "happy go lucky" sermons that avoid controversy and sound Biblical DOCTRINE. The Bible teaches that Christians WILL face persecution and it puts an emphasis on how a Christian is NOT in love with this "world!"

2 Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

Mathew 16:25 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."

1 John 2:15 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Out of context preaching and avoiding doctrine keeps the church "happy" and the money "flowing," but results in an uneducated, unmotivated, "faithless" following. Real faith motivates and calls to action! The Bible must be thoroughly studied and analyzed, for it is our sword. There is no confusion or interpretation needed to understand the doctrines, there is simply a choice to obey and teach or to disobey and lie. These details and doctrines should not be ignored and suppressed by the church like they are today. They should be taught from the pulpits for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness!

The Bible defines itself:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

God tells us in the Bible that the Bible is His Word and it will endure forever. He tells us it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. It is time to start opening up our Bibles, reading the details, learning the doctrines, and spreading the real way, truth, and life: a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

God tells us in James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

It is a call to action to further the kingdom of God according to His will. Everyone is not called to be a pastor, but everyone is called to confess the name of Jesus and bring the gospel message to the lost.

Mathew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Sadly, the truth is the majority of Christians are being kept in the dark concerning church history and Biblical doctrine.

Most Christians are COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS to how the Bible defines the world we live in and what responsibility is placed on us (believers), but remember, not required of us.

It is safe to say, that most Christians today would comfortably fit in with the pagans and hypocrites of the past. Todays church has confused TRUTH with TRADITION!

After Jesus was crucified, raised from the dead and ascended to heaven, the church was not a building that you could go to every Sunday in order to please God and receive your spiritual fill for the week, nor was it a "home base" for Christians to get organized. The church was "the body of Christ" or all those who believed in and testified for Jesus Christ. The same is true for today, however millions of Christians head to their local churches on Sunday thinking they are fulfilling some kind of obligation to God that is mutually beneficial.

THAT IS JUST TRADITION!!!

John Calvin once asked, "Is it 'FAITH' to UNDERSTAND NOTHING, and merely submit your convictions IMPLICITLY to the Church?"

The answer is NO! Faith is based on UNDERSTANDING and developed through DEPENDENCY on the one true God of the Bible.

The TRUTH is that the Bible has much more to say and teach us than you are hearing every Sunday!

It is the responsibility of the believer to, "study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

Believing in Jesus Christ IS ENOUGH because it is BY GRACE and THROUGH FAITH, NOT by WORKS, that we are SAVED.

Take RESPONSIBILITY and EDUCATE yourself and your family about God (through relationship and study) and the ultimate true reality of Jesus Christ!
